Student life in Harvard Business School

Student life in Harvard Business School

Students may participate in one or more of the over 75 clubs on campus. The clubs invite speakers to school, organize trips, social events, and help forming bonds between students with similar interests. The Student Association (SA) is the main interface between the MBA students and faculty administration /. It is run by an Executive Committee of four (two Co-Presidents, CFO and COO). The power of decision rests with the Senate, which is composed of one senator from each section (out of ten), the Executive Committee, and various committees comprising officials of the section. Intramural are also an important part of student life, especially in the first year. Sections form teams and compete in basketball, football, volleyball, soccer and other inter-mural sports.

The rigorous program of class work is often tempered by high energy social functions and perennial events such as cross-dressing Priscilla Ball, the spring Newport Ball held at a mansion in Newport, Rhode Island, and winter ball as Holli dazzle usually held in Boston, MA.
